Have you ever looked at your photo albums taken from your iPhone, only to realize there were a dangerously low number of cats in hilarious poses? Well if you earnestly answered yes to this question, you’re in luck! Now with the amazing app CatPaint you no longer need to suffer the withdrawal symptoms of having a photo without at least one cat in it.
To be completely honest, I do admit that while purchasing this app was half insulting to my own self esteem, it was also half pure, shameful enjoyment. As much as I wanted to poke fun at the stupidity of CatPaint and mock its very existence, I really can’t, and according to the app’s sales neither can consumers. Even the fact that this app actually COSTS MONEY ($0.99) still can’t deter me from the fact that I ultimately enjoy putting prancing cats in my photos. CatPaint’s layout is simple at best and to be honest, rather barebones with a very limited selection of only 8 cats (with a sizing slider) to post in pictures. To remove cats, you supposedly only need to shake your iPhone, though I found that the program would either not pick up my movement or delete all of my hard placed cats (it’s surprisingly unforgiving in its sensitivity!)
Hopefully, newer versions will include the ability to add text and actually draw on your pictures, as the possibilities of LoLcat creations are endless. While this app isn’t anything you couldn’t do with some free time and MS-Paint, the ability to instantly email your creation to multiple, annoyed friends can either be a great way to harass family members, or make fantastically cheesy and cheepo holiday cards. Wow, I can already see a new iPhone commercial in the making: “If you want to put morbidly obese cats in your photos, there’s an app for that.”
And now, for the readers' amusement, here is a CatPaint edited image of myself cosplaying as an Anbu at last years Fanime bahaha:
