Wow, less than two weeks until Christmas already! Time tends to fly this time of the year, as everybody’s to-do list seems to double in the month of December. Whether you’re happily ahead of schedule and looking for some festive ways to relax, or scrambling to buy presents before relatives arrive, the iPhone has you covered. Here are a couple of our top picks for holiday themed apps this season.
Slacker Holiday Radio (Price: Free!)
In desperate need for a music playlist for that holiday party coming up? Instead of digging through your dusty old music collection or buying a bunch of albums you’ll only play once a year try out the Slacker Holiday Radio. Simply download this free app, pick one of Slacker’s 11 themed channels, and let the endless Christmas cheer begin! I love hearing Jingle Bells 1001 times on the radio, and this helps me hit my quota for the year.
Amateur Surgeon: Christmas Edition (Price: Free!)
Be warned that this game isn’t for the faint of heart. Created by our friends over at Cartoon Network, this free game combines the gameplay style of “Trauma Center” with the classic, over the top humor of Adult Swim. If performing surgery on a yeti, or pulling glass shards out of an elf sounds like your cup of egg nog, then by all means try this game. Besides, it’s free!

Christmas Gifts List (Price: $0.99)
Keeping track of people, presents, and holiday funds can be one of the most stressful parts of the holidays. Skip going over crumpled receipts and scrap paper to keep track shopping expenses; check out the Christmas Gifts List app. For less than the price of a pack of post-it notes ($0.99) this is quite the handy gift list organizer, complete with cheesy snow and light decorations!
RedLaser (Price: $1.99)
A perfect tool to accompany you on your holiday shopping trips, RedLaser allows you to scan bar codes of items and compare prices online. Check out our earlier review of the app here.
Grinchmas (Price: On sale for $0.99)
Done with shopping and ready to unwind by the fire, or are stressed out of your merry mind and need to vent? Well Grinchmas is the perfect game for either case. Choose to be either a mean or a merry Grinch and hurl snowballs or presents at the citizens of Whoville. While Grinchmas definitely isn’t the deepest of games, it’s hard not to crack a devious smile when reliving Dr. Seuss’s classic Christmas tale.
iChristmas (Price: $0.99)
Ever join in on a Christmas carol, only to realize you don't know any of the lyrics? Avoid embarrassingly mumbling Christmas classic this year and impress everybody with how wholesome you are using iChristmas! With over a 100 Christmas carols and lyrics, you'll definitely lose your voice before you run out of songs to sing with friends and family.
Super Dreidal (Price: $0.99)
While we know that Hanukkah is already well underway, how can we not list at least one Hanukkah app! For all of you out there in desperate need of a Dreidal in the middle of your Latka party (I’m literally speaking from experience here) simply download Super Driedal and start playing. C'mon gimmel, daddy needs a new pair of shoes!

Mixologist: Drink Recipes (Price: $0.99)
Nothing makes the holidays more festive than the "spice" in spiced cider. A useful app year around, Mixologist is a vast recipe encyclopedia of every alcoholic beverage you could imagine. Better yet, you can simply input in what liqueurs you have at hand and see what creative drinks you can whip up with you current stash instead of the usual rum and coke. A must for any holiday party.
Epicurious (Price: Free)
Needless to say, right along with drinks in importance are holiday eats! Check out our earlier post about the amazing dishes at your fingertips through the Epicurious app.
