
For point-and-click enthusiast fans, it doesn't get much better than this. The re-release of the classic puzzle/adventure game "Broken Sword," offers far more than just a few extra moments of gameplay and represents the point-and click puzzle genre at its finest. If puzzle games, murder mysteries, or Da Vinci Code-esque plots at all intrigue you, this game is a must. And all of this on the iphone! What a time to live.
Just released yesterday by Revolution software, Broken Sword: Director's Cut is a completely redone version of the original game. With updated art, graphics, dialog, and controls, the game seems well worth its steep, $6.99 price tag. Even if you've beat the original, Broken Sword: Director's Cut is a promising treat to old time fans and newcomers alike thanks to the many creative changes by the Revolution Software team.
Perhaps most exciting about this director's cut is the fact that the newly added cutscenes are done by none other than Watchmen artist Dave Gibbons, giving the entire game a very unique, stylized look. Just check out a few of the sample screens below:
